Character Tiles 萬子
The character suit (萬子), often called craks, runs 1 to 9. Each tile shows a Chinese numeral above the character 萬, meaning “ten-thousand.” Characters form sequences and triplets like the other suits; a full character hand is the 90-point Pure Suit, and one suit plus honour tiles is the 30-point Semi-Pure.
