Semi-Pure Hand 混一色

30 pts hùn yī sè

A Semi-Pure Hand, or Half Flush, scores 30 points when every tile is from a single suit plus wind and dragon honours — for example all bamboo together with wind pongs. Adding honours to a one-suit hand is far easier than going fully pure, which is why it scores well below the 90-point Pure Suit.

A worked example

Only 1 suited suit + honour tiles. 30 points.

All bamboo + winds
Semi-Pure Hand 30 pts
Full hand total 55 points

Bamboo sheungs + wind pongs = semi-pure (30 pts).
