Flower Tiles
Flower and season tiles each score 1 point in LRC Taiwanese mahjong. When a flower’s number matches your seat — East is flower 1, South is 2, West 3, North 4 — it pays an extra point. Flowers are set aside and replaced the moment they appear, so they add points without ever joining your 16-tile hand.
A worked example
1 point per flower tile. Seat-matching flowers get +1 bonus each.
3 flowers (3 pts) + 2 seat matches (East = flower #1) = 5 flower pts total.
